leaking carafe

I have had a Cuisinart 4 Cup coffeemaker with stainless steel carafe for four years. I like it very much, however, after a few months' usage, the carafe began to leak when I poured the coffee into cups.
I soon realized the problem was not with the way I poured nor with the spout, but rather the coffee was leaking from the joint between the stainless steel and the black plastic closure above the stainless steel.
I lived with this problem for years until I decided to either buy a new coffeemaker or a replacement carafe. I opted for the latter. Big mistake.
I bought a replacement carafe from Amazon, and within days, I had a new carafe...which leaked the first time I used it. I contacted Cuisinart and was told that they had never heard of such a problem, that no one had ever complained to them about such a problem, and to ask Amazon to replace it. They did, graciously.
I am now using the third carafe...and after one week, it leaks! I dare not go back to Amazon at this stage...or should I? The solution is to buy another coffeemaker, and not a Cuisinart, however I have just spent good money for a replacement and I guess I will have to live with it for a while.

Terrible Replacement Item!

This coffee pot/carafe leaks when I am trying to pour some coffee into a cup! I end up having to remove the lid -- awful - unfortunately, I threw away the box and receipt info - thinking - what could go wrong with a coffee pot/carafe?

DRIPPY!!!!!

The Cuisinart name has always been synonymous with quality and excellence. This is the third replacement pot I have purchased for my 4 cup Cuisinart coffee pot. The coffee maker is great for the most part. Every morning I wake up looking forward to my cup of coffee and end up pissed off before I even get my first sip. I don't know what the design flaw is, but coffee just leaks all over the place. Whatever it is, 3 pots later and they're all defective. I have to pour over the sink. Then I have to wipe the pot, my coffee cup and rinse the coffee out of the sink. A big pain!!! I also sent this same coffee maker to my son as a gift and he experiences the same problem.
I just don't get it. I thought that the problem with the original pot would have been fixed for the replacement pots.
So much for the Cuisinart name.
